Cavanese, Havanese mixed

Havapoo Havacos Cavanese

Cavanese

Availabilities

The Cavanese is a hybrid breed resulting from the cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Havanese that emerged over the past few decades as breeders sought to combine the best traits of both breeds. The Cavanese often inherits the affection and gentleness of the Cavalier King Charles, as well as the joy and sociability of the Havanese. It learns easily, making it easy to train. A gentle and positive approach will motivate it. Its balanced temperament, moderate size, and often hypoallergenic coat make it appealing to many families. It gets along well with children and other household pets and adapts to various environments.

Physical Characteristics

The Cavanese has a long, silky coat that is often slightly wavy. Its fur can come in a wide variety of colors. The head is well-proportioned and elongated, with a slightly rounded forehead. The tail is moderately long and often carried joyfully, slightly extending beyond the body. The Cavanese is agile and elegant, moving with ease and grace.

  • Coat: Feathered to wavy
  • Shedding: Moderate to light

Its Drawbacks

The Cavanese requires regular grooming, so maintaining its coat can be demanding. It is important to pay regular attention to ear care. Being affectionate by nature and very attached to its family, if it is not accustomed to being alone from a young age, it may suffer from separation anxiety.

When it comes to crossing, it is important to consider the characteristics of each breed
